ABOUT

KAREN  is a PRODUCTION DESIGNER : SET DECORATOR  

who brings stories to life through visual storytelling.  

 

She graduated with a BFA in Photography from Columbia College Chicago.  The early years of her career were spent in photography studios and working in the commercial industry, which naturally led to a career in film.

 

Her entry into Hollywood was working on Christopher Nolan's  Dark Knight  & Michael Mann's Public Enemies.

She then began creating sets for Michael Bay. This relationship with Bay and Producer Ian Bryce culminated in designing Michael's latest film, Ambulance.

 

Karen enjoys working on a grand scale on sets all over the world, and has worked with talented filmmakers in the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Malta, Morocco, China, Hong Kong, Thailand and the UK, as well as many cities across the United States.

​She is hands-on. Her passion lies in creating immersive worlds that captivate audiences and enhance the narrative.  Her keen eye for design and commitment to excellence are continually an asset when collaborating with filmmakers and creative teams.  Karen excels in crafting a striking visual experience.
